Well this weekend turned out to be pretty fun actually (I'll come to the droppings shortly.) I went to the Klondike Sled Race in Fort Sibert W.V.A. with my Boy Scout Troop. We arrived and setup our stuff on Friday dug out a 5' by 6' fire pit and I was exceptionally proud of my single match fire started with damp wood and little kindling or tinder. Much to my surprise on Saturday morning to find the entire camp strewn with the carcasses of turkeys and droppings of an insideous and unavoidably numerous nature. We got up at about 6:30, got a fire going, and cooked pancakes and bacon over the fire. Afterwards my patrol as Venture Crew 40 went around with some Webelos Cub Scouts and helped them with all of the skills stations. Unfortunately I did not find the time to go to the target range and shoot the black pouder rifles that were avaliable, (A history connection, Huzzah to Mr. Tueting.) After a lunch of vegetable soup and grilled ham and cheese we had the sled race. In all of the Klondikes I have participated in this had the most beastly sled course. It was a little over a mile long and was extremely muddy. The most insane part was this really steep and tall hill. Imagine the hill beside Keister only taller and a bit steeper at points. Add in mud, trees, and rocks and an insanely steep sprinting descent to the finish. Anyway this post has gone on for far to long and I will leave with a quote from everyone's favorite dictator.
Generals think war should be waged like the tourneys of the Middle Ages. I have no use for knights; I need revolutionaries. -Adolf Hitler
